CARE AND REPAIR

Precautions for wearing

Jewelry is very delicate and needs to be treated with care.
All types of metals and gemstones can deteriorate over time or be damaged based on how they are worn, rough handling, and effects from external environments such as weather or contact with the skin. Metal fatigue is caused when metal is slightly and sometimes unknowingly stressed while putting on your jewelry or taking it off, driving a car or riding a bicycle, and carrying luggage. Depending on how the item is used, it may be distorted or a stone might come off even after a few uses. We encourage you to take good care of your jewelry and recommend having your jewelry checked at least once a year with our paid maintenance service.
If your skin feels irritated while using your jewelry, remove it immediately and consult a doctor.
Avoid wearing your jewelry in places with high temperatures such as saunas, or extremely cold places such as ice skating rinks or while skiing, as this may lead to burns or frostbite. Also please refrain from wearing jewelry when exercising or sleeping as it may lead to unexpected accidents.

Care and Maintenance

・Natural stones such as diamonds are very lipophilic, and sebum and other dirt can easily adhere to them. Handling them with bare hands may dull their shine, but basic cleaning will restore their brilliance. Please contact the store where you purchased the item for more information.
・Pearls, coral (including resin stones), shells, and other natural stones will deteriorate or discolor if left exposed to perspiration, sebum, cosmetics, perfumes, or fruit juices.
After use, gently wipe your jewelry with a soft, dry cloth before storing it.
・Exposure to heat, UV rays, or humidity may deteriorate or discolor the product. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, high temperatures, and humidity.
・Avoid wearing your jewelry when taking a bath, in a hot spring, and while in the ocean or a pool.
・Store your pieces of jewelry individually to avoid impact damage and scratches. When traveling or going out, wrap each piece individually or use a jewelry pouch which can store your jewelry indivisually to carry them.

Resizing of a ring can be requested at the store of purchase. For more information, please contact the store where you purchased the ring.
If you purchased your jewelry on the official AHKAH online store, resizing and repairs can be accepted at our directly managed AHKAH stores. Please contact your nearest store by phone.
